Why we love it
Located in the Southern part of Champagne (It is almost 2-hour drive from Reims), that is where the most exciting new region - Côte des Bar. Popularity has grown significantly during the last decades. Many houses used to sell their grapes to large negociants or wineries to have world-class Champagne made. Because it is so close to Chablis, Burgundy; you can expect the soil to be rich in Kimmeridgian soil with a very delicate texture. That makes Côte des Bar a fantastic location for Pinot Noir. Burgundy lovers, isn't it awesome?
I met with Gruet family in Hong Kong and immediately fell in love with what their collection has to offer. From rare-grape like Arbane, traditional Rosé de Saignée to celebrating the fruitiness of Pinot Noir, each cuvée takes on a unique personality which you can be guaranteed there will be a perfect one for the next wine moment.
Tasting notes
Made from rare grape varieties, Arbane, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, this Champagne offers a perfect balance - just like an aromatic apotheosis.
An airy nose and a pale yellow color. A pleasant palate with white fruit aromas as a quince, white peach and plum jam. Hawthorn floral notes with an elegant spin of delicate minerality.
