Tasting Notes
Precise, luminous, and beautifully Burgundian, this 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet “En Pimont” from Domaine Michel Picard (Au Pied du Mont Chauve) captures the village’s signature balance of texture and tension. Expect citrus zest, white peach, and a subtle floral lift, layered with a chalky, limestone-driven minerality. The palate is structured and elegant, with a refined creaminess from extended lees ageing and a long, composed finish—serious white Burgundy that still feels effortless at the table.

About the Producer
Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve (Francine Picard) sits among the most beautiful terroirs of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Since the late 1990s, Francine Picard has led the estate with a deep commitment to synergy between land and wine—farming with biodynamic principles across a vineyard of significant scale, yet with meticulous attention to precision and elegance. Since 2019, biodynamic specialist Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne has strengthened this approach as Technical Director.
En Pimont comes from a steep, east-facing limestone parcel (around 250m altitude) planted largely in the mid-1970s, just below Chassagne’s premier crus. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, whole-bunch pressed, then fermented in barrels. The wine ages for 18 months on lees, including 10 months in Burgundian oak, building its signature texture and quiet complexity.
Food Pairing
Perfect with roast chicken, scallops, grilled fish, creamy pasta, or anything with buttery mushroom sauce. Also brilliant with soft cheeses when you want a white Burgundy that holds the spotlight.
