Bourgoin Cognac is named Bourgoin the house's great grandfather who started the distillation.   The bases of the creation are from Premiers Bois, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois.  "Our ambition is to dust off the Cognac image in order to make it rediscovered." - Fréderic Bourgoin.
