Maison Argaud Duck Confit
Originally from Gascony, a region renowned for the quality of its duck, confit de canard was designed to sustain locals during the cold winter months. Locally reared birds would be slaughtered at the end of summer and then salted, cooked and stored in fat to preserve them throughout the winter.
Maison Argaud's free range duck legs are marinated with salt overnight, the slowly stew in duck fat before they are bottled.
