Domaine Chavet
THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOIRE
Wine for the Lords
Combining the techniques of "Vendanges Verte", also widely known as green harvest, the Chavet family showcased how yield management can elevate the quality of their grapes and highlight the unique personalities of ancient Jurassic fossil soil.
Today, the same spirit is reinforced by celebrating the beauty of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir on Chavet's 23 hectares estate. Chavet is highly recognised by their ready-to-drink single-varietal wines, with bouquets of ripe fruit aromas, crisp acidity and fine textures. They are delicate, delicious and infused with a modern interpretation.

From Roger Voss of The Wine Enthusiast,
Menetou-Salon Rouge 2015 - "86 points. The wine is soft and ripe with gentle fruit and an attractive crisp aftertaste. A touch of vanilla and a smoky backdrop add to the flavors of this ready-to-drink wine."
Menetou-Salon Blanc 2014 - "90 points. Produced from 25-year-old vines, this is fresh as well as ripe wine, well balanced between herbal flavours and white and citrus fruitness. It has a rounded texture that is juicy as well as full in the mouth. The wine is ready to drink."
