Domaine Benoit Cantin Bourgogne Passetoutgrain 2018
When I was hanging out in Burgundy in 2018, our winemaker friends invited us to try out Passetoutgrain - a heritage blend of Gamay & Pinot Noir grapes. The style is fruity and addictively delicious - a Tuesday wine or picnic wine as they call it. Unfortunately, wine like this rarely makes it out to the export market because the price point is not high.
It is a version from the Northern Burgundy, a colder appellation in the region with very close proximity to the Champagne region. This wine is classically juicy with exceptional ageing potential.
Best enjoy alongside a variety of cold cuts, grills or cheese.
