Why we love it

As part of my journey to find female winemakers and up-and-coming winemaking rock stars around the world - I was introduced to Camille Thiriet in Burgundy. What an energetic, stylish young lady! This is Camille's batch of 5 barrels only Chardonnay, Cuvée Confidentielle 2017. As a side note, her winemaking mentors are such big names that putting it down would seem too pretentious. I am so eager to bring in more wines from this young lady!

This is the 4th vintage I have tasted. This is a great, unique style that I think will quickly gain popularity - a subtle touch of oak and amazingly rich in floral, fresh apple & pear notes, richer in texture, lovely acidity, long finish. 2020 shows a cooler style when I first opened the bottle compared to the past vintages. After relaxing in a thin-lipped balloon wine glass and letting the temperature rise gradually, that's where you will find the natural charisma of the Cuvee.
