Champagne Fleury
This grower Champagne house was founded in 1855 in Courteton village, located in the southern Champagne region within the Côte des Bar (It is almost a 2-hour drive from Reims).
The Fleury family were the first Champagne producer of the Côte des Bar, which started with vintage 1929 & the crafter of the first grower biodynamic cuvée!
Many growers used to sell their grapes to large negociants or wineries to have world-class Champagne made. Because it is so close to Chablis, Burgundy, you can expect the soil to be rich in Kimmeridgian soil with a very delicate texture. That makes Côte des Bar a fantastic location for Pinot Noir.
As a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, Champagne Fleury focuses on the mastery of Pinot Noir, then followed by Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc & Pinot Meunier using the "Solera" (blending of multi-vintages) approach, with low sugar expression.
