Chateau Pierre Usseglio et Fils Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2017
Critic tasting note:
"Intensely ripe strawberry and red cherry preserves abound in this gobsmackingly plump blend of 55% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault aged primarily in large-format oak. At this abv, there's no doubt how massive this wine is, but somehow, it's not at all brooding or out of balance. Supple yet fresh in fruit and decidedly finessed, it's a wine that's ready now but should drink well through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima" - 94/100, Wine Enthusiast
