2021 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas La Geynale
Winemaker's Notes:
"This vintage has a black color and a nose of great complexity. There are black fruits and spices. On the palate we find the richness of black fruits enhanced with this minerality which gives the wine a magical balance. The wine is dense, rich, powerful, complex while remaining fresh and the tannins, still present, are perfectly in harmony." - Domaine Vincent Paris
About the cuvee:
Blessed by his uncle Robert Michel, Paris farms approximately 4 hectares of vines in the Cornas lieu-dits Reynard and La Génale. Cuvée La Geynale is made up of two parcels; 0.8 hectares from the official south facing lieu-dit La Génale comprised of over 100 year old vines planted in 1910 by Paris’ great grandfather lying at the bottom of Reynard’s slope, and a 0.5 hectare south facing parcel planted by his uncle Robert Michel at about 600 meters in altitude near the top of lieu-dit Reynard tucked between the parcels of neighboring vignerons Clape and Allemand. Syrah yields are extremely low at about 20 hectoliters per hectare (3000 bottles production/year)
