Tasting Notes
A thrilling debut from one of the Northern Rhône’s most exciting new voices. The 2022 Chifflet Saint-Joseph is deep ruby with a nose of dark cherry, blackberry, violet, and cedar spice. On the palate, bold and structured with firm, elegant tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral, peppery finish. Hand-harvested from steep granite slopes — pure, precise, and built to age.

About the Producer
Domaine Chifflet is a micro-estate of just one hectare across 5 plots on the steep heights of Saint-Joseph, in the hamlet of Verdelette above Saint-Jean-de-Muzols. Founded by Paul Chifflet — mentored by a former master grower at the legendary Jean-Louis Chave — the domaine farms organically by hand and horse on near-vertical granite slopes overlooking the Rhône. Each plot is vinified separately as a micro-cuvée, then blended. One of the most exciting debut estates in the Northern Rhône.
Food Pairing
This bold, structured Saint-Joseph loves rich, savoury dishes. Try it with slow-roasted lamb with rosemary, soy-braised short ribs, grilled Wagyu, or a hearty cassoulet. The granite minerality and cedar spice make it stunning with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C.
