Tasting Notes
The benchmark white of the Côte de Beaune. The 2023 Doreau Meursault is golden with a rich nose of white peach, toasted hazelnut, butter, and subtle oak. On the palate, buttery and complex with a creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral, saline finish. Classic Chardonnay at its most elegant and complete.

About the Producer
Domaine Doreau has been passed from father to son since the late 19th century, when Pierre Doreau arrived in Monthélie to help replant vines after phylloxera. Today, Jérôme and Emilie Doreau manage the six-hectare organic estate, certified HVE Level 3 in 2019. Vines are hand-harvested, manually ploughed, and fermented in vats with daily punch-downs — a true family domaine built on generations of quiet excellence.
Food Pairing
This buttery, complex Meursault is a dream with rich, elegant dishes. Try it with pan-seared scallops with truffle butter, Cantonese steamed grouper with ginger, roasted chicken with tarragon cream, or a classic Burgundian fondue. The mineral finish makes it stunning with aged Comté. Serve at 12–14°C.
