2019 Champagne Rousseaux-Batteux "Le Mont" Louvois Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Tasting Notes
From the Grand Cru village of Louvois, this vintage Blanc de Noirs shows red berries and sweet forest fruit, wrapped in a fine, creamy mousse and underlined by a complex, chalky salinity. Only 957 bottles made. Dosage 1–3 g/L; disgorged May 2023. A precise, vinous Champagne with depth, freshness, and a lingering, mineral finish.

About the Producer
Rousseaux-Batteux is a grower Champagne domaine rooted in Louvois. “Le Mont” is a tiny parcel (0.2325 ha) of old Pinot Noir vines planted in 1961, harvested exclusively for this cuvée. The house focuses on limited, terroir-driven bottlings that highlight the power of Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir with precision and elegance.
Food Pairing
Excellent with tuna tartare, duck rillettes, roast poultry, or aged Comté. The wine’s creamy texture and saline cut also shine with lobster rolls and charcuterie.
