Situated in the esteemed Sauternes appellation of southern Bordeaux, Chateau Rieussec boasts a rich heritage dating back to the 18th century when it was owned by Langon's Carmelite monks. Following the French Revolution, the estate was sold as "National Property." Distinguished as a First Growth in the 1855 Sauternes classification, this prestigious chateau came under the stewardship of the Rothschild family in 1984.
