An independent craft house born of Champagne family heritage.
The founders, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, are local legends having grown up zipping through the vineyards by bike, as familiar with the area's nooks and crannies as the inside of their own pockets! They still call both Paris and Champagne home with their families, the latest in a long line of cannon-makers who defended the region against the Prussians during the Napoleonic Wars!
The Grand Cru village of Avize is nestled between rolling hills of vines in the Côte des Blancs, Champagne. The chalky soil in the area produces a beautifully mineral Chardonnay which is unique to the region.
The Tasting Notes:
The nose is expressive, with notes of citrus fruits, white flowers and summer fruits. On the palate, it is silky, generous, developing into layers of white fruits and a beautiful minerality on the finish.
