Domaine Rougeot Pommard Clos des Roses 2017
Why we love it
Domaine Rougeot has a rooted history of making superb white wines from the famed Meursault, Burgundy. Pommard is the home to many magical Burgundy red wines. This incredible plot, also called “Rue au Porc” is a 1 hectare “clos” (walls) next to the river which crosses the appellation.
The secret to this fantastic gourmet wine is to use majority whole bunch grapes, tender extraction, mature with 25% new oak barrels; adding surprising elegancy & structure.
The lovely dry, mixed cherry and hint of Asian spices makes it a perfect match chicken, Cantonese seafood and Thai cuisine.
Enjoy the magical Pommard with great friends or an occasion to impress. Experience the new “ready-to-drink” version with no SO2 addition, on its own or as a duo.
