Flashback my wine trip to Southern Rhône Valley~ I didn't know what to expect from a wine cellar with a purple crystal installed in the heart of the winery until I walked through the estate, down the amphora aisle and listened to Philippe Viret explain about the idea behind "Cosmoculture." Domaine Viret collection highlights fruit, aroma and palate texture.
Dolia Paradis rouge is aged in amphora for (3.5 months!) - one of the oldest wine maturation methods. This delicate step softens the tannins and gives the wine a unique tactile sensation.
This red wine is loaded with dark fruit, a silky texture, plus a touch of minerals at the end. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the remarkable freshness of this Rhone Valley VDF wine. Do carafage for 1 hour to bring out the best of aromas.
