Luberon Grenache Noir Rosé 2018
Why we love it
Rhone valley might be very well-known for its aromatic and complex reds, it is also home to unique fuller-bodied white and rosé. While rosé wines are amazing summer thirst-cruncher to many, it also comes in different personalities.
I found this gem from Régis & Sylvain! Not only they have crafted an artisanal rosé wine from a hero grape variety from Rhone Valley - the purple-skinned Grenache Noir, but also in am upcoming region in the Southern Rhone.
Aromatic expression is probably one of more important elements when one chooses a Rosé wine. Grapes are cold soaked to bring out the best of Grenache characteristics and also matured on lees to enrich the texture. Textured, fragrant,

Splendide expression of Grenache Noir in a rosé wine
Terroir & Winemaking
- Located in the North-West of Provence, close to the village named Roussillon
- Soil : red sandy clay
- 100% Grenache Noir
Cold maceration (2 hours to extract the best of the Grenache) - Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank with cold control - Maturing 4 months on very fine lees to give a vinous structure
Tasting notes Extremely pale coral colour.
1st nose : very elegant and full of fruit of nectarine and apricot. 2nd nose : wine opens up on orange blossom notes.
The wine has a beautiful texture with tension and minerality. Aromas of nectarine appear subtly.
This Luberon Rosé will match perfectly with all the spring and summer vegetables, for example with some asparagus just poached with safran dressing.
You can also have it simply alone, by the pool on a hot day of summer.
